With over 50 years of fun, sport and community spirit, Birrong Sports is a fantastic local destination for bowls fans, food lovers and anyone after a great day or night out. The club has three beautifully kept bowling greens, the sumptuous Italian Bistro restaurant, a function area, TAB, and a sports lounge.
In 2011, the club amalgamated with Bankstown Sports and has been working to update a range of facilities for members, including changes to the menu at the bistro. In recent years Birrong has also improved with the installation of larger televisions and a projector that screens all the big games at Birrong sports onto a wall at nearly full human size.
But the club also has a proud history, it has long supported the local sports fraternity including netball, golf, darts, soccer, baseball, basketball and Oztag. In 2009, the club was the centrepiece of the bowling completion for the world masters games.
