Gungahlin Jets Australian Football and Netball Club, formerly known as East Canberra, has a rich history in the Gungahlin region of Canberra. In 2002, the Jets became the official home of Australian Football and Netball in the area when Gungahlin began its development. As one of the largest volunteer-managed community football and netball clubs in Canberra, the Jets provide participation opportunities for boys and girls, men and women.
The Football Club is proud to have over 550 registered players and a “family” of over 2000 individuals. With a focus on inclusivity, the Jets offer various teams and divisions for players of all skill levels and abilities. Currently, the club offers First and Second grade Men and Women's teams, as well as Rising Stars Men's team. Whether a player is experienced or new to the sport, all are welcome to join a team and give it a go.

The Jets Junior Football club has been recognised as the ACT Junior Club of the Year multiple times, in 2009, 2011, and 2018. They offer football opportunities for children aged 5 and up, with a range of competitions, including Auskick Rookie to Auskick Pro, U10s to U17s in girls, boys, and mixed teams. The club takes pride in providing a place for every child to participate in junior football.
