Gridiron football, also commonly known as North American Football, is a football sport primarily played in Canada and the United States. Teams are made of 12 or 11 people per side. Derived primarily from Rugby Union, Gridiron has implemented drastic changes that make it unrecognisable from its foundation. Teams aim to carry or catch the ball in the end-zone as the main source of scoring points.
