The Gawler Rangers Baseball Club came into existence on August 26th 2007 after local, experienced baseball people and BSA Life Members, Barry O’Brien and Robert Laidlaw decided the time was right to establish the game in the Gawler and surrounding districts. Massive housing developments are planned for Gawler and surrounding districts and the area is expected to increase in population to 50,000 in the next ten years.
After some issues with establishing some roots, the club has secured a position in the Karbeethan Sporting Association (KSA) and Gawler Rangers Baseball Club has now found a permanent place to call home – Karbeethan Reserve, Angle Vale Road, Evanston Gardens.
Gawler Rangers is a new club for the local community with playing ages ranging from 4 to 70. Season 2015/16 the club is fielding four senior teams; Divisions 3, 4, 5 & 6, Under- 11 and Under-13 Little League junior teams, Under-15, Under-17 and Under 19 junior teams. We are striving to build and field more and higher grade teams, aiming for Division 1 in our 5 year Strategic Plan.
