

Dykes on Bikes Melbourne Inc (DoBM) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit motorcycle club located in Melbourne, Victoria. Established in July 2011, DoBM is incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act. The club is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ folx who identify as a woman, or as non-binary or genderqueer, and whose gender is aligned to womanhood or female identity, and who are attracted to the same.
One of the main objectives of Dykes on Bikes Melbourne is to raise funds for queer community organisations across Victoria. Through their efforts, they have made donations to various organisations such as Housing for the Aged Action Group (HAAG), Koorie Pride Victoria, Thorne Harbour Health, WayOut Programme, Midsumma Pride March, Bent TV, Star Observer, and The Australian Queer Archives.
Dykes on Bikes Melbourne Inc was officially formed on June 25th, 2011, and they are a proud chapter of the San Francisco Dykes on Bikes Women’s Motorcycle Contingent (SFDOBWMC). The club received approval of their affiliation with SFDOBWMC in August 2011. Every year, you can find Dykes on Bikes Melbourne leading the front of the Midsumma Pride March in St Kilda and participating in the ChillOut Festival in Daylesford. The club members also travel to Sydney annually to lead the yellow contingent in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
The club consists of diverse members who share a love for motorcycles, adventure, and community. They are a tight-knit crew with a strong sense of camaraderie and friendship. With their motto being FUN, FREEDOM, and FRIENDSHIP, Dykes on Bikes Melbourne aims to create a supportive and welcoming environment for all members.
Dykes on Bikes Melbourne Inc acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the unceded lands throughout Victoria and recognises their continuing spiritual and cultural connexion to the land and water.
