The formation of DCWA was expressed by a number of Dobermann owners in October 1968 at a meeting held at Osborne Park RSL Hall, and became affiliated with CAWA in 1969. The first training class in January of 1969 had 20 people attending.
The Dobermann Club Of Western Australia is flourishing thanks to the dedication of Dobermann enthusiasts of today.
The Dobermann Club of Western Australia (Inc) is a Not for Profit Organisation promoting responsible ownership of Dobermanns in Western Australia.
We offer puppy preschool classes to teach and encourage early development socialisation skills in Dobermanns and to get owners and their families on their way to basic training.
For the older puppy or grown adult dog we have obedience classes to suit all stages.
The Club conducts a Championship & Open Show yearly and a WAE (Working Aptitude Evaluation) test periodically.
The Club also conducts on Obedience trial and two Agility trials each year where entry is open to owners of all breeds of dogs.
