DirtyFeet is a vibrant and diverse sports club located in Sydney, Australia. Founded on the principles of inclusivity and belonging, DirtyFeet provides a welcoming and supportive community for dancers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
As a club, DirtyFeet is committed to honouring the indigenous heritage of the land it operates on. The club acknowledges and pays respect to the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the traditional owners of the land and waters upon which DirtyFeet dancers move and create.
One of DirtyFeet's key initiatives is the Diversity Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) Plan. This plan, which is now live on the club's website, outlines their commitment to ensuring that everybody, regardless of their background, feels welcome and included in the DirtyFeet community. The DIB Plan is available in Easy Read and Audio Versions, making it accessible to a wider audience.
DirtyFeet has made a significant impact on the dance community in Sydney over the past decade. Supported by a vast network of donors and philanthropists, the club has received over $76,575 in donations, with $329,682 paid to artists. With a focus on supporting emerging artists, DirtyFeet has fostered the growth and development of 378 talented dancers.
The club operates with transparency and accountability, allocating 14% of its total income to administrative costs. With a dedicated board of 15 members and strong partnerships with 22 organisations, DirtyFeet has received in-kind support worth $64,422 from 44 companies.
DirtyFeet's activities are not limited to performance and artistic expression alone. Over the years, the club has engaged with a wide range of audiences, with 2,690 people attending their performances and workshops. They have organised 31 choreographic labs and provided mentorship to 34 artists. In addition, DirtyFeet has conducted 62 workshops, with an impressive participation of 2,022 individuals.
The success and growth of DirtyFeet would not have been possible without the contributions of numerous individuals. From dancers to mentors, board members to staff, and partners to supporters, DirtyFeet is a collective effort. The club takes pride in recognising and appreciating the contributions of each individual, as reflected in the extensive list of names in the “Let the Credits Roll” section.
