Australian Martial Arts Academy has grown into one of the highest awarded martial arts schools in the world. Boasting over 120 classes every week and highly accredited instructors who have themselves their own amazing background in martial arts and competition. The team at AMA know how to make martial arts work for all ages from 18 month to adults, so that members can achieve the results that they are after. Nothing is done by accident at the Academy, the 52 week curriculum for each program sees classes always being innovative, structured and fun with lots of different equipment and different teaching strategies implemented.

AMA are passionate about redefining the martial arts experience to one which is friendly, professional and all about helping you to develop the core values and physical benefits that martial arts provides.

From the humble beginnings of Master Ridvan Manav back in 1982 taking on classes at the current Marrickville location in an effort to keep youth off the streets; AMA has become a great community, impacting not only it’s members but the wider community. AMA is proud of it’s not-for-profit arm which sees the AMA team donating instructors, scholarships and workshops for those in the community most at need. Including schools, preschools, CALD groups, Marrickville rotary club and Addison Rd Community Centre staff. Each year they aim to complete fundraising for The national breast cancer foundation and the uniform shop run by one active member sees all profits going to the cancer council.
