The club believes in CrossFit for life, emphasising that it is not just about competition but rather about improving physical ability and overall well-being.
What sets CrossFit North Queensland apart from other CrossFit gyms in Townville is its small class sizes. With a maximum of 12 people per class, members will never feel lost in the crowd. This allows for personalised attention and a supportive community atmosphere.
To get started with CrossFit North Queensland, no prior training experience is necessary. The club takes pride in helping beginners through proper mechanics and consistency before adding intensity. A prerequisite for joining the main CrossFit classes is completing an Introductory Workshop. This workshop can either be done as part of a group or through personal training sessions with experienced coaches.
For those interested in the group option, the Semi Private Express Introductory workshops are available. These 2-hour workshops give participants an introduction to the movements and equipment used in CrossFit classes. Additionally, coaches assess any movement restrictions and provide alternatives to help progress fitness. Upon completion of the workshop, participants are credited with a free 1-week unlimited CrossFit membership to try out the group classes.
The cost for the group workshop is $85. 00 per person.
Alternatively, the Personal Introductory Programme is offered for those who cannot attend the group workshop or have specific needs such as pre-existing injuries or limitations. This programme includes three 45-minute one-on-one sessions with a CrossFit coach at a time that suits the individual. The cost for the personal programme is $175 and includes a bonus 2-week membership upon completion. Participants can also bring friends to share the sessions for an additional $85 per person (up to 4 people in total attending the same sessions).
At the conclusion of the three personal sessions, participants receive a bonus 2-week unlimited group CrossFit membership for free.
CrossFit North Queensland offers a flexible and accessible membership system. There is no requirement to sign up for a membership straight away, allowing individuals to try out the beginners membership option for four weeks. If they love it, they can stay; if not, they gave it a go.
