Founded in 1924. 2009 saw the Clayton District Cricket Club celebrate 85 seasons of cricket. From humble beginnings in 1924 the club, which started as a social outlet for a few rural families, has grown to represent the culturally diverse suburb of Clayton and the broader Monash community in the largest cricket competition in the state. Since the demise of the old Clayton Footballers Cricket Club a decade or so ago “The Clays” have been the pinnacle of cricket in the area.
