Clarkefield Brumbies Cricket Club

The Clarkefield Brumbies Cricket Club was established in 2002 by a group of close cricketing mates who wanted to play cricket of a good standard but in a more friendly and social environment than we had experienced previously. We are competing in our 13th Season, and it's fair to say we are succeeding admirably in our ambitions.

Currently we field our one and only side in the top grade of the largest hard wicket competition in Victoria (North West Metro). Our 1st XI won it's first flag in 2012/13 taking out the Vic Kyte Shield leadingship (You little bloody beauty! ) and is now competing strongly against large, well funded Clubs. Our first year in the Luscombe Shield was tough but our spirit and love of the game remain undiminished.

We have a very talented group and have improved greatly in 2014/15. Next Season our Mighty Magoos will return to the field to give us some depth and hopefully add to the three 2nd XI leadingships won in recent years.

Socially we have a fantastic time. Being a small club with about 25 members we all get on famously. There are no egos (usually) and absolutely no politics. We've been very fortunate over the years to have a great group of blokes who happen to love cricket and having a great time.

We hold regular social events throughout the year which are always loads of fun.

The Club is located at the beautiful Clarkefield Recreation Reserve just off the Melbourne-Lancefield Road only 20 minutes beyond Melbourne Airport. Our players travel from all over the northern suburbs of Melbourne to train and play in Clarkefield. They bypass many closer and larger Clubs to be a part of the Brumbies and each of them will tell you how worthwhile and rewarding it is!
