The club offers a range of Taekwondo classes for all age groups, including Mini-Stars, Juniors, and Seniors. The Chief Instructor, Frank De Pasquale, is a highly experienced and skilled 7th Dan Blackbelt.
The Manor Lakes location operates out of the Manor Lakes College P-12 Gymnasium, located at 2/50 Minindee Road, Wyndhamvale. The club also has other locations in Hoppers Crossing, Point Cook, and Seabrook, bringing high-quality Taekwondo classes to the western suburbs of Melbourne.
The club welcomes individuals who are “Taek-curious” to come and see for themselves the benefits of joining City West Taekwondo. They encourage interested individuals to visit a class and take advantage of a no-obligation trial period before committing to membership.
City West Taekwondo offers beginner classes for students who are starting at the club for the first time. These classes are tailored to each age group, including Mini-Stars (5-7 years old), Juniors (8-13 years old), and Seniors (14 years and above). The club holds four beginner intakes each year, corresponding with the Victorian School Term.
The Mini-Stars programme is a unique and enjoyable children's programme designed specifically for young students at City West Taekwondo. It caters to children in early primary school years, from Grade Prep through to Grade 2. Taught by qualified Black Belt Instructors, the programme focuses on self-defence, self-awareness, and instilling discipline and leadership skills in a safe and friendly environment.
The Junior programme, available for students aged 8-13, offers classes for beginners up to advanced levels. Taught by qualified Blackbelt instructors, these classes provide instruction in hand and foot techniques using modern teaching methods.
The Seniors programme, available to individuals aged 14 and above, offers classes two to three times a week. Like the Junior programme, it caters to all levels of experience, giving members the opportunity to progress through the various belt levels. In some instances, Junior and Senior members may have the option to train together.
City West Taekwondo aims to provide a supportive and inclusive community club where members can learn and grow in their Taekwondo journey. With its experienced instructors and comprehensive programmes, the club offers students the opportunity to develop important life skills such as discipline, self-control, problem-solving, and teamwork.
