Christina Sherwood Academy Of Dance

The Christina Sherwood Academy of Dance was established in January 1990 by Christina Sherwood, owner and principal teacher. The school provides a safe and secure environment in which dancers are instilled with a sense of physical and mental confidence, encouraged to explore expressive and interpretive movement and provided with caring, customised tuition. Students develop good posture and body communication as well as social interaction skills.

Students can choose from classical ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. Yearly examinations are available for students who wish to undertake formal studies in both classical ballet and tap. Ballet examinations are conducted by examiners of The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and tap examinations are conducted by Glenn Wood. The school also hosts weekly Zumba classes for those who wish to undertake dance fitness classes.
