ROC Football Club

ROC Football Club, also known as Rostrevor Old Collegians Football Club, was established in 1974 as a result of the dominant presence of old collegians from Rostrevor at the Christian Brothers Old Collegians Football Club. The name change was approved at a special meeting held at Rostrevor College on 23 February 1974.

In its inaugural year, the club competed in A4 and A4 reserves, with the reserves team clinching the leadingship. Over the years, the club expanded and introduced a third team in 1979 and a fourth team in 1981. It took 13 years for the club to reach A1, the highest grade in competition.

Since its establishment, ROC Football Club has achieved significant success, winning a total of 22 premierships. The A grade team has secured 6 flags, while the B and C grade teams have won 9 and 7 topships, respectively. The club has also produced 19 league medallists, including notable players like Will O'Malley, Craig Holm, and Tim Baccanello.

Several players hold records within the club, with Simon Emanuele leading the way with 374 matches played. Paul Norris, Brian Carey, Drew Litster, and Matthew Haddad also feature prominently on the list of record-holders. Notable achievements also include Marcus Trimboli's incredible 10-year captaincy/co-captaincy of the A grade team from 1998 to 2007 and Drew Litster's record as the leading goal kicker for 15 consecutive seasons, scoring 1241 goals for the club.

The club's first A1 topship came in 2013 under the coaching of Tom Wigley. ROC Football Club repeated this success in 2017 and also won the pre-season “Australian Champions League” in 2018. In recent years, the club has consistently competed in Division 1 of the Adelaide Footy League, reaching 5 Grand Finals since 2014.
