Castle Hill RSL Dolphins Swimming Club is a family-oriented swim club located in Sydney, Australia. The club provides support to swimmers of all ages and abilities, helping them navigate the world of competitive swimming. The club holds its meetings at the Castle Hill RSL Fitness & Aquatic Centre on Friday nights throughout both the Summer and Winter seasons. Races start at 6:30pm and are conducted under official competition rules.
The club offers a wide range of races that cater to swimmers of all ages and abilities. These races take place in the Castle Hill Swimming indoor 25m heated pool and range from 25m to 1500m events. All races are timed official times and are managed by a qualified team of Technical Officials. Swimmers are encouraged to participate not only in Friday club nights but also represent the Dolphins at external carnivals such as the Swimming Metro North West (SMNW) District Championships, NSW Metropolitan Championships, RSL State Trials, Speedo Sprints, Open waters, NSW State Championships, National Age Championships, and International Level competitions.
The Castle Hill RSL Dolphins Swimming Club has a Friday Night Race programme that offers a family-friendly environment for swimmers. These races take place on most Fridays, excluding school holidays, depending on the availability of volunteer technical officials. All races are timed using the Dolphin System and the times are logged onto Swim Central as official times. Race entries close every week on Wednesday at 6pm.
The entry fee for members is $2 per race entry, while non-members are charged $10 per race entry.
To benefit swimmers of all ages and abilities, the club has four Race Programmes on rotation each week. This ensures that all distances and strokes can be raced to achieve possible qualifying times. New swimmers who are 10 years and under are initially required to swim 25m, regardless of their ability, in order to acquire a qualifying time to proceed to 50m races. Swimmers who need to change their entry or make a withdrawal can do so by emailing the club.
For those interested in joining the Dolphins, the club offers two free trials to experience being a club member. To join, individuals can follow the steps outlined on the club's website or approach one of the board members for assistance on a Friday night. It is also recommended to download the Team App to purchase club uniforms and stay updated on important club notices.
The club maintains a busy calendar of events and competitions throughout the year. The calendar includes both club races and external championships. It is essential for members to stay updated on significant dates in order to participate fully. The club can be contacted through various channels, including their website, social media accounts, and email.
