Being cancelled last year due to COVID-19, we are excited to bring back the Cape Aquathon, now in its 25th year. This iconic event showcases the beautiful coastline of Cape Paterson and attracts participants from all over the Bass Coast Shire.
The Cape Paterson Surf Lifesaving Club (CPSLSC) is the heart of the local community, dedicated to promoting surf lifesaving and providing a safe environment for beachgoers. The club is located in the scenic Bass Coast Shire, offering breathtaking views of Bass Strait. With our newly built and landscaped facility, we provide a welcoming and modern space for members and visitors alike.
One of the highlights of our club is our Nippers programme. Designed for children aged 5 to 13, this junior programme introduces youngsters to surf lifesaving while instilling valuable life skills and knowledge. Nippers is a fun-filled outdoor activity that boosts confidence and promotes an active lifestyle. We offer a variety of activities and training sessions tailored to different age groups, ensuring that every child can thrive in a supportive and friendly environment.
At CPSLSC, we pride ourselves in hosting a range of exciting events throughout the year. From our regular Thursday evening sunset drinks to our annual Aquathon, there is always something happening at the club. We also offer a stunning venue for special occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, and Christmas parties. With panoramic views of Bass Strait, a clifftop ceremony area, and a capacity for 150 seated guests, our newly built function room is the perfect setting for a memorable event.
We provide full audiovisual facilities, signature menu offerings featuring local beer, wine, and produce, and can even connect you with local providers for photography, floral arrangements, entertainment, and more.
Safety is our top priority at CPSLSC. We partner with Life Saving Victoria (LSV), a registered training organisation, to deliver high-quality and nationally accredited surf lifesaving courses. Our dedicated team of trained professionals ensures that all members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to keep our beaches safe. We also provide information on beach safety and patrol times for our members and the public.
