Our club is dedicated to providing a safe environment for swimmers, surfers, and beachgoers at One Mile Beach in Forster. We offer voluntary beach patrols from the beginning of the September school holidays to the end of the Easter school holidays.

The club was founded in 1978 and has since become an integral part of the community. Our first clubhouse was built in 1982 and underwent major renovations in 2014. We are proud to have a dedicated group of members who are committed to keeping our beach safe.

In addition to beach patrols, Cape Hawke Surf Lifesaving Club also offers a range of social opportunities for members, as well as advanced sport and safety training. Joining the club is an excellent way to stay fit and active, develop friendships, and learn about teamwork. It also provides opportunities to compete in surf sports. Most importantly, the skills you learn could potentially save a life.

If you're interested in joining the club, you can attend one of our social gatherings on Thursday or Sunday evenings. We welcome new members who are prepared to adhere to our Member Protection Policy. Membership for the upcoming 23/24 season is only $50. We also offer courses through the club to help you learn lifesaving skills for the first time.

One Mile Beach in Forster is a beautiful location with a golf course, parking, picnic areas, and stunning surroundings. It has been a popular spot for locals and visitors since the 1970s, which led to the founding of our surf club. The beach is frequently used for swimming and surfing, but we advise caution due to prominent rips and side currents. It is essential to swim between the flags or stay close to the shore for your safety.
