He Canberra Bulls originally raced during the early 1980s at Tralee Speedway, Canberra, Australia, and provided race opportunities for young speedway riders from the Canberra region. We tried to focus on teams racing, which is rare in Australian speedway, and initiated a six team league which, unfortunately, lasted only one year because Australian speedway tracks were being systematically destroyed by developers or by the clay that Sprintcars insisted on adding to the track surfaces.
