Caloundra Little Athletics is a sports club located in Sunshine Coast, Australia. The club believes in the importance of providing free training to its members, allowing them to enhance their skills and reach their full potential. Additionally, Caloundra Little Athletics offers coach training, officiating opportunities, and age manager roles for interested parents, giving them the chance to contribute to the development of young athletes while also learning new management and organisational skills.
The season at Caloundra Little Athletics runs from September to early March, with weekly competitions taking place on Friday nights at the North St Field in Caloundra. The club is part of a national organisation called Australian Little Athletics, which consists of nearly 500 centres across the country. This affiliation provides Caloundra Little Athletics athletes with the opportunity to not only compete on Friday nights but also participate in other Centre Carnivals/Pentathlons and Little Athletics Queensland sanctioned competitions.
In addition to its regular competitions, Caloundra Little Athletics also hosts an annual Open Day Carnival, scheduled for November 25th. This all-day event brings together U6-Open athletes from all around the state to compete in a fun and exciting atmosphere. Participation medals are awarded to athletes in the U6-U8 age groups, while gold, silver, and bronze medals are given to athletes in all other age groups.
