Established in 1992, Caboolture Clay Target Club is the top clay target shooting facility in the Brisbane region. Located at 558 Uhlmann Road, Burpengary, the club is a not-for-profit organisation run by a dedicated team of volunteers who are passionate about the sport.
Caboolture Clay Target Club offers all four major shooting disciplines, making it one of the few clubs in Southeast Queensland to do so. These disciplines include Skeet, Down the Line/Trap, 5 Stand, and Sporting Clays. The club boasts four Down the Line layouts, three Skeet layouts, one permanent 5 Stand, and one Sporting Clays (Simulated Field). Additionally, they have a layout called Larry & Moe, which is perfect for beginners or those looking to try out the sport.
On non-carnival days, the club is open for practise on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. Participants are required to wear enclosed footwear and are strongly recommended to wear eye and hearing protection (earplugs are provided free of charge).
Caboolture Clay Target Club also organises various competitions throughout the year. These competitions include DTL, Skeet, Sporting Clays, and 5 Stand. The club provides a detailed schedule of upcoming competitions, allowing members and participants to plan ahead.
