Adelaide University Hockey Club

Adelaide University Hockey Club is one of the oldest continuing hockey clubs in South Australia. It was formed in 1912, and operates as part of the Adelaide University Sports Association. We have over 200 members comprising Adelaide Uni students, graduates, and students of other universities. Adelaide University is open to all hockey players not just Students and Alumni.

Members are based all over Adelaide, as AUHC is not a regionally based club. The majority of members are in the 18-35 year age group.

AUHC has Men's and Women's teams competing in most senior grade in the competition including leading League, the highest level of competition within South Australia. In 2016 AUHC will be fielding a total of 14 senior teams – 7 senior men's teams, 6 women's teams and a masters mens team plus 3 junior teams – U14 boys, U11 and U9 team.

AUHC has continued to strengthen its alliance with Yorkes Junior Hockey Club who field a U18 Boys team in the Hockey SA Metropolitan competition. Recently AUHC has had players selected in both State and National teams including the Southern Hotshots and Southern Suns.
