Are you the owner of Aardvark Ski Club?

Rules and regulations to ensure the smooth running of the lodge and the satisfaction of its members.
Aardvark Alpine Club is located in the beautiful Mt Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria, Australia. The club was founded in the late seventies by a group of passionate individuals who shared a love for the alpine environment and the snow. They saw the opportunity to create a unique ski lodge and went ahead to build Aardvark Lodge in 1980.
Aardvark takes its name from the Australian animal, representing the club's free-spirited nature and love for the high country. Members of the club are known as Ozzie Aardvarks, reflecting their adventurous and fun-loving attitude. Aardvarks are doers rather than watchers and aim to find the easiest, cheapest, and quickest way to get things done, so they can enjoy their time in the mountains.
The lodge itself was built in the summer of 1980-81 and boasts a warm and cosy atmosphere. It is situated in one of the highest positions on the mountain, with easy access to the 'Big D' chairlift and 'Night Skiing' on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Inside, members can relax by the open fireplace and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Aardvark Alpine Club is committed to providing affordable skiing experiences for both members and their friends. They strive to create a friendly and welcoming environment where everyone can have a good time. The club is not for profit and aims to promote sustainable alpine activities while being an advocate for environmental conservation in the region.
Aardvark's accommodation is considered one of the best in the middle to lower price range at Mt Hotham Resort. The club is dedicated to building long-term relationships with its guests by offering comfortable, safe, and affordable accommodation. Their goal is to maximise occupancy throughout the year and foster a spirit of egalitarianism among their members.
The club's history dates back to the mid-seventies when a group of skiers, associated with La Trobe University, founded the Aardvark Ski Club. This group encouraged like-minded individuals to join and take part in the construction of a lodge at Mt Hotham Resort. The lodge was completed with the help of 45 members who contributed a minimum of 120 hours of on-site work. Aardvark Ski Club eventually became Aardvark Alpine Club and was incorporated as a non-profit organisation under the Victorian Associations Incorporation Act.
Today, Aardvark Alpine Club continues to provide a welcoming and affordable alpine experience for its members. With its stunning location, cosy lodge, and commitment to sustainability, Aardvark is a beloved ski club in the Mt Hotham Alpine Resort.
