The Isle Of Sheppey Sailing Club invites all sailing enthusiasts to participate in the exhilarating 66th IOS Round the Island Race on August 31st and September 1st, 2024. This unique event covers a challenging 40-mile course around the island, offering a true test of sailing skills and endurance. From navigating tidal sea to conquering river and estuary sailing, participants can expect an unforgettable experience on the water.
Dinghies, catamarans, and sailboards are all welcome to join the race and take on obstacles such as the lifting road bridge at Kingsferry. With separate divisions for multihulls, monohulls, and sailboards, competitors have the chance to break course records and strive for victory in their respective categories.
Safety is a top priority at the IOS Round the Island Race, with all boats required to meet stringent equipment standards and be prepared for diverse weather conditions.
