The Gingin Pistol Clubs Inc. is excited to promote the upcoming 2024 SSAA Rifle Metallic Silhouette State Championships happening on October 26th and 27th. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to benchrest shooting, this event welcomes participants of all skill levels. The competition will feature an array of shooting disciplines including Centrefire Silhouette, Centrefire Hunter, Air Rifle, and Rimfire Silhouette, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Located at the Perth Rifle Metallic Silhouette Club in Pinjar, Western Australia, this event kicks off bright and early with sign-ins and practice starting at 7am each day. The action begins on Saturday morning with the Centrefire Silhouette event followed by the Centrefire Hunter event at noon. Sunday's lineup includes the Air Rifle event in the morning, with the Rimfire Silhouette and Rimfire Hunter events following later in the day.
Don't forget to mark your calendars and submit your nominations by Friday, October 18th, 2024. The registration fee is $30 per day or $50 for all events, with junior participants enjoying a half-price discount. And let's not forget about the BBQ lunch included in your registration fee - because who doesn't love a good BBQ?
If you're looking to brush up on the rules, the matches will follow the current SSAA national rulebook, so make sure you have your SSAA Membership and competition grading cards in order. Scores from all five disciplines will be used to select the team representing Western Australia at the 2025 Australian Rifle Metallic Silhouette National Championships.
And of course, what's a competition without some bling? Medals will be awarded in all grades in accordance with the SSAA national rulebook, plus there's a chance to snag SSAA gift vouchers and other awesome prizes. And if you're in need of a place to crash, limited camping facilities and hot showers are conveniently located within 400m of the venue.
