2024 Cyclo Cross is an exciting event that Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club is proud to organise. This fun and accessible form of cycle racing is perfect for riders of all ages and genders, regardless of their level of experience. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this event caters to everyone.
Participants can choose between using cyclocross specific bikes, gravel bikes, or mountain bikes, so you can ride with whatever equipment you're most comfortable with. The race offers different categories for different age groups, as well as a race specifically designed for novices.
While the exact date and time will be announced in the summer, we expect it to take place in mid-October. The race headquarters and parking will be located in Gadebridge Park, in the heart of Hemel Hempstead. You can park your vehicle in the main parking area of Gadebridge Park, or use alternate parking available in the surrounding roads. Once you arrive, make your way to the bottom of the hill near the start/finish area on the opposite side of the Leighton Buzzard road from the car park. Access can be gained via a convenient pedestrian underpass.
On the day of the event, the timetable will include various categories and durations, which may vary depending on the weather and local conditions. So make sure to stay updated as the event approaches. And of course, we know how important it is to keep your energy levels up during a race. That's why we've arranged for artisan coffee, snacks, and delicious Belgium fries to be available, so you can refuel and stay energised throughout the event.
As the Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club, we have been serving the local community since 1933. We are committed to organising events that not only promote the sport we love, but also give back to the community. That's why all profits from our annual cyclocross event will be donated to causes benefiting the residents of the area.
