Our Adult classes are designed for individuals of all levels, whether you are a beginner or an experienced martial artist. We offer a mix of traditional martial arts training, fitness exercises, and self-defence techniques. Our classes are not only challenging but also provide a supportive and motivating environment for everyone to reach their fitness and martial arts goals.
In our Self-defence/Weapons class, students learn practical self-defence techniques that can be applied in real-life situations. We also teach weapon techniques to improve coordination and focus. This class is open to students of all ages, including adults.
Our Fitness classes are designed to improve overall fitness and strength. We incorporate various training methods, including cardio, strength training, flexibility exercises, and martial arts drills. These classes are suitable for individuals who want to improve their fitness levels, lose weight, or simply enjoy a challenging workout.
We offer private one-to-one sessions for individuals who prefer personalised training or have specific goals they want to achieve. Our instructors will tailor the training to your individual needs, whether it's martial arts techniques, self-defence, fitness, or a combination of all.
The Body Conditioning classes are focused on improving overall strength, endurance, and flexibility. These classes include a combination of exercises, such as weightlifting, circuit training, and stretching. They are suitable for individuals who want to enhance their physical fitness or are preparing for martial arts competitions.
Our Ladies-only classes provide a comfortable and supportive environment for women to learn martial arts and improve their fitness. These classes are tailored specifically for women and focus on self-defence techniques, fitness, and empowerment.

Sensei Patrick Perry, also known as Sensei by the students, is the founder and head instructor at Zen Martial Arts. With 10 years of experience on the kickboxing circuit and numerous victories in championships across the UK, Sensei Perry brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the academy. He holds a 5th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing and has a degree in Lau Gar Kung Fu. Sensei Perry teaches full-time at the gym and is dedicated to providing high-quality martial arts instruction to all students.
We regularly celebrate the achievements of our students through awards. We have monthly awards such as “Student of the Month” and yearly awards including “Student of the Year,” “Best Attendance,” and “Best Fighter. ” These awards not only recognise the efforts and progress of our students but also serve to boost their confidence and motivation.
In addition to training, we organise trips to tournaments throughout the year, provided the students are ready and willing to participate. We want to ensure their readiness and avoid putting them in situations that may knock their confidence. We also host an annual Christmas party for the children as a treat and show of appreciation for their hard work.
