Zazz is an award-winning dance and performing arts school located in Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne & Wear. Established in 1984 by principal Anne Thompson, Zazz has grown to become one of the largest dance and performing arts centres in the North-East of England.

The school prides itself on providing top-quality dance and performing arts education. Their students have the opportunity to perform regularly within the Zazz Theatre, as well as at prestigious venues such as Sunderland Empire, Newcastle Tyne Theatre, Durham Gala, Sadler's Wells London, Her Majesty's Theatre London, Shaftesbury Theatre London, and The Royal Albert Hall. They have also performed on cruise ships, at Disneyland, and on television and radio.
Zazz has a strong track record of preparing students for further study and careers in the performing arts industry. Many former pupils have gone on to study at top performing arts colleges across the UK and have embarked on successful careers, including in London's West End.
In addition to their dance and performing arts classes, Zazz offers a wide range of supporting services. They have a Dance & Theatre Boutique, located just around the corner from their main studio, where you can find everything you need in terms of dancewear and accessories. They also have a Laser, Sound, and Lighting Department that supports all of Zazz's events, as well as external events such as the Houghton Feast in collaboration with Sunderland City Council.

They also have their Lollipop Dance Class, a fun and engaging programme specially designed for children ages 2 1/2 to 4.
