Youth for Christ Winnipeg is a vibrant and dynamic youth centre located in Winnipeg. Our mission is to see the hope and potential in every young person who walks through our doors. We offer a variety of programs aimed at engaging and empowering youth in our community.
Our programs cater to a wide range of interests and talents. From counselling services to dance classes, fitness programs to recreational activities, rock climbing to skateboarding, we have something for everyone. Our dedicated team of counsellors, instructors, and mentors are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for young people to learn, grow, and connect with others.
In addition to our regular programs, we also host a variety of events and projects throughout the year. From radiothons to golf tournaments, we are constantly seeking new ways to engage with our community and raise awareness about the important work we do. Our Landscape for Change project, which aims to expand our facilities and reach even more young people in the Core of Winnipeg, is currently underway and is expected to be completed by late 2022.
At Youth for Christ Winnipeg, we recognize the importance of acknowledging the land on which we are gathered. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, as well as the National Homeland of the Red River Mtis. We are committed to educating ourselves on the experiences of Indigenous communities, celebrating their strength and resilience, and working towards reconciliation in all that we do.
