The Youth Learn to Sail Stage 1 course at Ogston Sailing Club is a fantastic opportunity for young sailors to get a solid foundation in sailing. With no prior experience required, it's the perfect starting point for budding sailors aged eight and above. Participants will learn everything from rigging to boat steering over the course of two days on the 25th and 26th of May 2024.
For those who have already completed stage 1, Ogston Sailing Club will be offering a stage 2 & 3 course on the weekend of the 20th and 21st of April 2024. If there's enough interest, there may even be another stage 2 & 3 course later in the season. By the end of stage 3, young sailors will have the skills to sail a dinghy on their own in moderate conditions.
Rest assured, the training is in good hands at Ogston Sailing Club. All instructors are RYA qualified and registered, and the club provides boats that are perfect for young sailors. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn a new skill and have some fun on the water!
