York City Rowing Club is a large and successful rowing club located in the heart of York. Currently, the club boasts a membership of over 250 members, encompassing individuals of all skill levels and abilities, from beginners to elite athletes. Age is not a barrier, as the club caters to rowers of all ages, ranging from teenagers to those in their 80s.

The primary mission of York City Rowing Club is to provide an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment for rowers. Hywel Griffiths serves as the Captain of Men's Rowing, while Nic Price takes on the role of Club Captain. Louise Hawkyard is the Captain of Women's Rowing, and there is currently a vacancy for the Junior Coordinator position. Additionally, Nick Hazel fulfils the role of Leisure & Progression Organiser.
