YMCA of Eastern Ontario, Kingston YMCA

Kingston YMCA, part of the YMCA of Eastern Ontario, is a vibrant and dynamic community centre located in the heart of Kingston. As a branch of one of Canada's oldest and largest charities, Kingston YMCA has been serving the local community since 1851. With a mission to promote overall health and wellness, the YMCA offers a wide range of programs and services to more than two million people every year across 1,700 locations.

At Kingston YMCA, the focus is on creating a healthier Canada by addressing the social determinants of health identified by the Public Health Agency of Canada. By offering programs that encourage physical fitness, community engagement, and personal development, Kingston YMCA plays a vital role in tackling important social issues such as chronic disease, social isolation, poverty, and inequality. The organization's dedication to building healthy communities is evident in the positive impact it has on individuals and families.

The YMCA of Eastern Ontario, which includes Kingston YMCA, was formed through the amalgamation of the YMCA of Brockville and Area and YMCA of Kingston in April 2019. This merger has allowed the organization to strengthen its purpose and expand its reach, with new programs and services now available in Gananoque and North Grenville. The YMCA of Eastern Ontario remains committed to its charitable purpose of promoting growth in spirit, mind, and body, and fostering a sense of responsibility to the global community.

Led by a dedicated Board of Directors, including Chair Charlotte Patterson, Vice Chair Kristin Smith, Treasurer Mike Gaylord, and Secretary Susan McAllister, Kingston YMCA continues to be a beacon of support and inspiration for the community. With a focus on creating a sense of belonging and belonging to a supportive network, the YMCA helps its members and participants achieve their personal development goals and make a positive impact on those around them.
