The YMCA of Eastern Ontario, also known as the Brockville YMCA, is a vital community organization dedicated to the growth of individuals in spirit, mind, and body. As part of the larger YMCA movement in Canada, the Brockville YMCA has been serving the community since 1851, with a strong presence in over 1,700 program locations nationwide.
At the Brockville YMCA, we believe in the power of community and the impact it can have on individual well-being. Our programs and services aim to help Canadians become more physically fit, better connected to their communities, and equipped with the skills needed to achieve success in work and life. From fitness classes to social services, the YMCA of Eastern Ontario provides a wide range of programs to meet the diverse needs of our community.
In April 2019, the YMCA of Eastern Ontario was formed through the amalgamation of the YMCA of Brockville and Area and YMCA of Kingston. This merger has allowed us to strengthen our purpose and broaden our reach, with new programs and services now available in Gananoque and North Grenville.
As a charitable organization, the YMCA of Eastern Ontario is guided by a set of core values that promote growth, responsibility, and community. Our dedicated leadership board, including individuals such as Charlotte Patterson, Kristin Smith, Mike Gaylord, and Susan McAllister, is committed to upholding these values and ensuring the ongoing success of the YMCA in serving the community.
