Hey team! At the YMCA Childcare Centre in Napier, kids aged 5 to 13 can hang out before and after school as well as during holidays, thanks to the awesome crew led by Kai. They’re all about creating a fun and safe space where kids can dive into different activities, finish their homework, play games and sports, get creative with arts and crafts, and even whip up some basic cooking and baking.
They’ve got two spots for before and after school care. The Arthur Miller School at 210 Guppy Road in Taradale is open from 7:15 am to 8:30 am before school and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm after school. Taradale Primary at 10 Church Road offers the same hours. Plus, they run programmes at Raureka Primary, Marewa School, and Puketapu School.
It’s $9.00 per child for before school care and $9.00 per child for after school care. And guess what? They throw in afternoon tea for free! If you only need care until 4 pm, it’s just $9.00, but if you pick up after 4 pm, it's $18.00 for the full day.
Kai and the team also provide a pick-up service from selected schools in Napier and Hastings to get the kiddos to their After School programmes safely. Not sure if your school is covered? Just give YMCA a shout and check!
