Yarm Angling Ltd, spearheaded by notable organiser Tina, runs a cracking fishing club situated in the heart of Yarm, UK. Nestled along a lush 5-mile stretch of the River Tees in the historic town, plus another mile at Bowl Hole, this club is a fishing enthusiast's paradise.
The River Tees is teeming with bream, roach, perch, chub, dace, and pike. Head over to Bowl Hole and you’ll be reeling in chub, barbel, bream, perch, dace, and even some trout or grayling. If stillwaters are more your scene, check out Halnaby Lake, stocked with bream, carp, roach, and more. Turlwick Pond? It’s packed with tench, bream, roach, carp, ide, and perch, and both locations have comfy, otter-protected spots to fish.
Tina’s managed to put together an impressive match calendar, attracting anglers from all around. There’s good cash up for grabs at each match and for the overall club championship. Plus, with a Golden Peg fund currently sitting at £250, the stakes are high.
New members are always welcome, no faffing about with waiting lists here. All the deets on membership costs and how to join are online. Not ready to commit? No worries, grab a day ticket - just make sure to sort it in advance and tag along with a member.
Club facilities, including a licenced clubhouse, are top-notch. Pop by the clubhouse and bar on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday evenings from 19:00. Sundays with matches mean the clubhouse opens at 16:00, making it a perfect spot to unwind post-fish.
Membership also gets you access to the Association of Teesside and District Angling Clubs (ATDAC) waters, adding another 8 miles of fishing opportunities. Plus, with the Lower Tees Angling Association (LTAA), you’ve got access to 3 extra miles at Bowesfield.
Should you need to pause your membership, contact the club to avoid any hassle with fees when ready to rejoin. Check out Yarm Angling Ltd’s website and social media for more info and keep up to date with all things fishing.
