The Yamabushi Yodokan Judo Club is a reputable martial arts club located in New Zealand. The club was established after the closure of the esteemed Shinto Ryu Judo Club, with the aim of continuing the tradition of teaching Judo and self-defence techniques to students of all ages. Additionally, advanced students have the opportunity to learn Iaido, the art of drawing the sword.
The club prides itself on being friendly and open, welcoming students of any skill level from complete beginners to experienced Dan grades. The experienced Chief Instructors of the club are Sensei Matthew Cordwell, a 6th Dan Renshi, and Sensei Brian Cordwell, also a 6th Dan Renshi. With their expertise, students can be confident in receiving top-notch instruction.
The club holds classes every Thursday night at the Scout HQ in Wallington High Street. The location is conveniently situated behind Tescos, and there is a gate beside Café Nero that leads to the facility.
- Judo Juniors: 7:00-8:00pm, costing 7. 00 per session.
- Judo Seniors: 8:00-9:00pm, costing 7. 00 per session.
- Iaido: 9:00-10:00pm (only available to senior students).
