X Martial Arts Schools was founded in 2013 in York and has since grown to five locations with over 1000 members. In addition to Ossett, there are branches in York, Malton, Harrogate, Leeds, and Sheffield. Each location offers world-class facilities and a range of programmes suitable for juniors (3 to 5 years), kids (6 to 11 years), teens, ladies, and adults.

Luke Burks, one of the instructors at X Martial Arts Schools, started his martial arts journey at the age of 9 and has achieved a 1st Dan Black Belt. Stacey Wright, who serves as the Safeguarding Lead, joined X Martial Arts Schools with her husband and daughter in 2016 and has found it to be a family affair. Jay Spain, another instructor, loves that martial arts allows him to have a career in something he loves and finds it fulfilling to change people's lives. Harvey Fisher, an instructor who began his martial arts journey with X Martial Arts in 2014, has represented Team XMA at external tournaments.
