XC - Climbing & Skatepark

XC - Climbing & Skatepark is an extreme sports facility located in Hemel Hempstead, New Zealand. The facility, which cost 5. 25 million to build, was funded partially by the government's 'MyPlace' programme, with an additional 250,000 invested by Dacorum Sports Trust. Sportspace, Dacorum Sports Trust, manages XC in partnership with Services for Young People and Dacorum Borough Council, with the goal of providing a comprehensive space for teenagers.

XC offers a range of impressive facilities for extreme sports enthusiasts. The skate park is specially designed for extreme sports, allowing users to skate, BMX, and inline skate with ease. There is also a 14-metre climbing wall for those who want to challenge themselves vertically. To add to the excitement, XC features an indoor caving system, bouldering area, and high ropes course.

In addition to the sports facilities, XC prioritises the well-being of young people. The complex includes a teen-focused health centre with counselling rooms, providing support and guidance for any issues they may face. There is also a music recording studio for budding musicians to unleash their creativity, as well as an internet café for young people to socialise and connect.

XC values the input of young people and has involved them in the planning process from the beginning. This ensures that the centre provides all the amenities and services that they need and want.

Located in Jarman Park, Hemel Hempstead, the facility is open from 2pm to 10pm on weekdays, 9am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and 9am to 4pm on bank holidays. Specific session times can be found on their activity pages.
