Nestled in its own well-maintained gardens on the outskirts of Scorton village, our beautiful retreat offers charming traditional bedrooms and a cosy sitting room where members can unwind and share their angling stories. The housekeeper ensures that members are well taken care of, serving relaxed dinners in the cosy dining room. The well-stocked wine cellar and bar provide a wide selection of beverages for members to enjoy.
The fishing opportunities at Wyresdale Anglers are unmatched. The ten miles of double-bank fishing on the River Wyre offer a variety of scenic beats, each reserved for a single rod and their guest if desired. Whether you prefer wooded upland fishing or casting in broad runs and deep pools, our beats cater to all preferences. The river is home to wild brown trout, sea trout, and the occasional salmon, providing thrilling angling experiences.
For those who prefer lake fishing, Scorton Lake is a breathtaking 42-acre water stocked with brown and rainbow trout. Members have access to clinker-built rowing boats, moored in a two-story boathouse that offers stunning views. High Street Lake and Low Street Lakes are adjacent waters that provide bank fishing from numerous casting platforms. These lakes are well-stocked with rainbow trout and offer a mesmerising backdrop for anglers.
