The name Wu Kong comes from the famous Chinese story “Journey to the West. ” In the story, the character Wu Kong, also known as the monkey king, is tasked with protecting a Buddhist monk on a journey to India. This journey is about bringing sacred scrolls of knowledge back to China. At Wu Kong Tai Chi & Qi Gong, students are encouraged to consider their practise as participating in the return of knowledge from East to West.
The school is led by Ali Walmsley, the head coach of Wu Kong. Ali is a highly experienced and knowledgeable teacher, dedicated to guiding students on their martial arts and health journey.
