Welcome to Wrington Bowling Club, a flat green lawn bowls club located in the heart of the village of Wrington in Bristol. Established in 2000, we are a friendly club with a strong membership that includes both men and women, as well as a growing interest among junior players.
One of our key advantages is our all-weather green, allowing our members to play bowls year-round. We play matches against other local clubs, including friendly, league, and cup fixtures for ladies, men's, and mixed teams. Our members are also active in county and district matches, and we hold internal club competitions during the season.
If you're interested in getting involved in a fun and healthy sport, we welcome members of all ages, including junior members. Whether you're new to bowls or an experienced player looking for a new club, we can provide the support you need. We offer free training sessions with our qualified coach, and we encourage you to attend one of our regular open days or contact the club to arrange a session with one of our bowlers.

On behalf of Wrington Bowling Club, our president, Roger Smeed, extends a warm welcome to you. Founded in 2000, our club prides itself on being very friendly and situated in picturesque surroundings. With an all-weather surface and dedicated training sessions overseen by our qualified coach, we are committed to welcoming new players of all ages and experience levels.
We would also like to express our gratitude to our hardworking and efficient committee, who continuously seek improvements and advancements for our club. Joining our club not only provides an opportunity to participate in a great sport but also to make new friends.
In our latest news, we are excited to share that our men's team, led by Captain Fred Cowgill, has been promoted to Division 2 North after a successful season. They won six out of nine games required for promotion and secured victory over league leaders Clevedon Prom C in the final match.
We also recently held the finals of our interclub competitions, with winners crowned in various categories such as men's singles, ladies singles, and challenge shield. Congratulations to all the participants!
Following a short summer break, we are pleased to announce that our club coach, Fred Cowgill, will be resuming his weekly coaching sessions on September 5th. These sessions are open to all club members.
