Welcome to Worser Bay Surf Lifesaving Club, located in Wellington, New Zealand. Saving lives since 1910, Worser Bay Life Saving Club is a family-oriented club that welcomes members of all ages. Whether you enjoy sea swimming, board training, surf competitions, or completing lifeguard training, there is something for everyone at our club.

At Worser Bay, we take pride in our excellent facilities and great social atmosphere. We often have barbecues and social afternoons, providing an opportunity for members to bond and create lasting friendships. Our club is a place where both individuals and families can feel welcomed and supported.

Established in December 1910, Worser Bay Life Saving Club has a rich history in the New Zealand surf lifesaving community. As the 3rd life-saving club to be established in the country, we have played a significant role in promoting water safety in our borough with an extensive waterfront. Our commitment to saving lives and our community remains steadfast throughout the years.

We invite you to become a lifeguard and join our team of dedicated individuals who provide a valuable service to our club and community. Whether you are a parent of Nippers or simply interested in gaining your Surf Lifeguard Award, we believe that anyone can make a difference. Lifeguard training is provided, and there are opportunities to participate in weekend patrols at Scorching Bay, club days, and carnivals. You can also earn money as an Event Lifeguard or a Regional Guard during the summer months.

For our younger members, we offer the Junior Surf Programme. Aimed at enriching the lives of young members, this programme focuses on engaging activities, active participation, and acquiring personal, lifesaving, and competition skills in a safe aquatic environment.

In addition to our lifesaving activities, Worser Bay Lifesaving Club is also available for venue hire throughout the year. Whether you are planning a wedding, a meeting, a community group gathering, or a dinner party, our club can accommodate your needs.
