Worcester Divers Snorkelling & Octopush Club, commonly known as Worcester Divers, is a friendly and inclusive diving club based in Worcester, UK. Affiliated with the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) and the British Octopush Association (BOA), the club has long been a part of the local diving community.
Pat, the organiser, wants to let everyone know about the diverse range of trips and activities Worcester Divers offers throughout the year. They hold training sessions, Octopush games, and social gatherings regularly to build a sense of camaraderie among members. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced diver, all are welcome, including those trained by different agencies.
Worcester Divers has its own dive boat and often heads out to top diving spots like Plymouth, Cornwall, Dorset, West Wales, and Scotland. They also explore inland dive sites and occasionally charter hard boats for even more diving adventures.
If you’re thinking of diving, new or experienced, Pat invites you to join the community. Every Thursday at 8:00pm, the club meets at Perdiswell Swimming Pool in Worcester for training and a bit of socialising. Afterward, they often head to The Dragon Inn on The Tything for more casual chats and bonding.
In partnership with DM Scuba Training, a BSAC Training Centre, Pat ensures the club offers various flexible training options. Novice divers get top-notch instruction from experienced BSAC instructors, setting them up for a safe and enjoyable diving journey.
For qualified divers from other agencies, Worcester Divers extends a warm welcome. Bring your logbook and qualification card to the club's meeting spot, and you’re good to go.
Curious about scuba diving? Give the Try Dive programme a go. For just £20 (with discounts for groups and students), you can experience what it’s like to breathe underwater in a safe and guided session. All necessary equipment is provided, and the session lasts about 45 minutes.
