Woodlands Golf Driving Range, located on Lee Lane in Staincross Common, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, is a golf facility that is now under new ownership. Run by golfers for golfer's, the range offers a friendly atmosphere and great practise facilities.
The driving range is open to the public 7 days a week and offers 14 covered bays with top quality mats and balls. In addition to the covered bays, Woodlands also offers its customers the addition of 10 grass tees for the discerning practicer. The range also boasts a new “grass” short game area, including a bunker and chipping green, which is now open for only 10 per year.
Other facilities at Woodlands include a practise bunker, target greens, yardage markers, and a putting green (coming soon! . The range also offers a new coffee lounge with Sky Sports, providing a comfortable space for golfers to relax before or after their practise sessions.
For those looking for professional guidance, Woodlands offers professional tuition in a newly built private teaching studio. The range also provides professional repairs, club building, and a “While u Wait” re-gripping service for those in need of equipment maintenance.
For the tech-savvy golfer, Woodlands offers a launch monitor and custom driver building service, allowing golfers to analyse and improve their swings. To further enhance the practise experience, Woodlands also provides a SkyTrak launch monitor, the first of its kind in Europe. The SkyTrak launch monitor allows golfers to see how far all their clubs actually travel and provides feedback on their shots.
The driving range prices at Woodlands are affordable and offer various options. They have a saver card option, where golfers can purchase 800 balls for 50. 00. Other options include jumbo baskets (120 balls) for 8.

Woodlands Golf Driving Range is floodlit and open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 8:30pm, on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm, and on Sundays from 9am to 4:30pm. The last balls are sold 30 minutes prior to closing.
