Woodham Radars Football Club is located in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, at the Village Hall Playing Field. Established in 1972, the club has become known as the friendliest football club in Essex, welcoming players of all ages and abilities to their community-focused organisation.
The ethos of Woodham Radars is player development through fun and fairness. The club prioritises creating a fun and enjoyable environment for every player, allowing them to maximise their enjoyment during training sessions and rise to challenges both individually and as a team during matches. While winning is not the main focus, the club values the importance of players giving their best effort, having fun with friends, engaging in physical activity, and implementing the coaching they receive.
Woodham Radars offers a variety of teams for both boys and girls, as well as teams for men and women. Players can join youth teams for mixed and boys' divisions or girls' teams, depending on their preference. Additionally, there are teams available for adults, including senior, vets, and supervets teams. The club provides a comprehensive range of opportunities for individuals of all ages to enjoy the sport of football.
Training sessions are held on multiple days throughout the week, with different age groups and teams allocated specific times. The sessions take place at the William De Ferrers 3G Pitch, Sports Hall, and various other fields in the area. Weekly training sessions are available for Mini-Kickers, Kickstarters, U6, U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, and U18 teams. There are also specific training times for women's and men's adult teams.
The club offers both training-only options and training with match play for different age groups.
