Our Women in Golf section is thriving, with over 110 playing ladies who are friendly and welcoming. Every Tuesday, we organise main competition days with both 18 and 9-hole competitions. It's a great opportunity to challenge yourself and have fun on the course. We also have exciting winter team competitions and a winter league for those who can't get enough of match-play golf.
For those looking to learn the sport, our Professional Andrew runs an excellent “Get in Golf” Scheme throughout the summer months. For only £99, you can participate in a series of group lessons, enjoy a course walk, and have access to our clubhouse facilities. It's a fantastic way to try out golf and see if it's the right sport for you. We've also introduced a new Academy membership specifically designed for those learning the game. This membership includes individual lessons, access to the course and practice facilities, and all the benefits of full membership. Our existing members are always ready to offer their support and help new players develop their skills.
The Bradford Golf Club takes great pride in being a signatory to the 'R&A Women in Golf Charter'. We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for women and girls in every aspect of the sport. We strive to attract more women and girls into golf and encourage their active participation and pursuit of a career in the sport. Our plan includes promoting women to sit on board committees, implementing initiatives to target women, girls, and families through marketing (especially on social media), and maintaining a range of golf and social activities that appeal to all current and future members. These objectives are integrated into our business plan, with a designated Charter Champion assisting in their achievement.
