Wolvercote Cricket Club

Wolvercote Cricket Club (WCC) is an inclusive and friendly club located in Oxford. The club prides itself on being welcoming to players of all ages and abilities. Whether you're a seasoned cricketer or just starting out, WCC provides a supportive environment for everyone.

With a commitment to competitive cricket played in the right spirit, WCC has quickly become one of the fastest-growing clubs in Oxfordshire. The club currently has four adult teams, catering to players across various divisions. Additionally, WCC has a rapidly expanding youth set-up, with teams for Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s, and Under 15s, as well as coaching sessions for “All Stars” aged 5-8.

From May to September, WCC offers a full programme of both league and friendly cricket. The club also participates in indoor leagues during the cooler months. Members have access to coaching in both batting and bowling, with indoor winter training and outdoor summer nets available.

On Saturdays, WCC competes in divisions 3, 4, 7, and 8 of the Cherwell League. Midweek friendlies take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, providing additional opportunities for players to participate.

Beyond cricket, WCC hosts regular social events to foster a sense of camaraderie among members. These events include a pre-season BBQ, an intraclub match called Wolvercote vs the Rest of the World, low-stakes poker games, and an annual awards dinner at the end of the season.

WCC prides itself on being a big-hearted and open club, creating a welcoming environment for both players and their families.
