About

Join the adventure and book the Wolf Rock Dive & K'gari (formerly Fraser Island) Package with Wolf Rock Dive Centre, the Scuba Diving club in Gympie Regional. If you've always wanted to explore K’gari (formerly Fraser Island), but don't have a four-wheel-drive, worry not because our expert guides will take care of the driving. Get ready for a natural adventure filled with the best of Fraser Island. You'll witness breathtaking fresh-water lakes, towering ancient rainforests, and vibrant sand cliffs, showcasing the wonders of nature. Our one and two-day K’gari Explorer tours offer a fun and relaxing experience for all. You can choose from a variety of accommodation styles to suit your preferences. And don't forget to bring your camera and a sense of humour as you are about to witness some of the most stunning scenery on Australia’s east coast. We also offer tailored group tours to meet your specific needs.

Make your tour even more remarkable by combining it with a diving experience. Allow the team at Wolf Rock Dive Centre to book your tour and bundle it with a K’gari tour starting at $519 per person (dive gear not included). Our divers can enjoy the mesmerising underwater world along with the captivating land adventures of Fraser Island.

During the one-day tour, you will visit Central Station, a former logging station embedded with history and surrounded by stunning rainforests. Take a leisurely stroll along the Woongoolba Creek boardwalk and explore the ancient King Ferns, along with towering Gum and Pine trees. Dive into the crystal blue waters of Lake McKenzie and relax on its sandy white beaches that are simply picture-perfect. As you drive along the sandy highway of Seventy-Five Mile Beach, keep an eye out for birds of prey flying above or migrating humpback whales (between July – November). For an exhilarating experience, join the Air Fraser team for an optional scenic flight over the island. Your guide will assist you in booking this extra activity. Float down Mother Nature's waterslide at Eli Creek, which pours 80 mega litres of fresh water daily into the ocean. Capture some stunning photos at the Maheno Shipwreck, a weathered wreck washed ashore during a cyclone in 1935. Be awestruck by the technicolor sand formations at The Pinnacles Coloured Sands; these natural wonders are accompanied by fascinating Butchulla legends.

The two-day tour includes additional highlights. Hike to the top of Indian Head, a rocky headland, and enjoy breathtaking views of the beach and ocean. Keep an eye out for sharks, rays, turtles, and even migrating humpback whales (between June – November). Take a refreshing dip in the Champagne Pools, a unique natural jacuzzi/aquarium formed by the crashing waves. It's the only safe ocean swim on K’gari's East Coast. Trek across Hammerstone Sandblow and be rewarded with a dip in the emerald green Lake Wabby. Experience the meeting point of the desert and the rainforest.
