He has since earned an 8th Dan and has competed in numerous kata and kumite events at both national and international levels.

One of the most significant moments in Sahota's career was his visit to Japan in 1984, where he had the opportunity to train in a Japanese dojo under the guidance of Sensei Hirokazu Kanazawa. This experience served as a turning point for Sahota, inspiring him to dedicate his life to training and teaching karate.

In 1981, Sahota opened his first karate club in Luton/Dunstable, which now serves as TISKA's headquarters. In 1993, he formed his own association, TISKA, which has become one of the largest karate associations in the UK. Sahota's passion for karate remains strong, as he continues to teach over 35 classes per week in the UK and conducts master classes internationally.

Over the years, Sahota has successfully trained hundreds of students of all ages and has helped them achieve black belt standard and beyond. He is also actively involved in charity work, supporting initiatives that provide medical assistance to underprivileged children in third world countries. Sahota has funded projects in India and is currently helping to build a new school.
