Welcome to Wirral Riding Centre! With over 40 years of experience, we are a trusted horse riding school located in Neston, New Zealand. Our dedicated and qualified staff provide riding lessons for adults and children of all abilities and ages.
At Wirral Riding Centre, we offer a variety of lesson options to suit your needs. Whether you prefer private lessons or enjoy the camaraderie of group lessons, we have you covered. Our pony club, held on Saturday afternoons, is a busy and exciting opportunity for riders to build their skills and bond with our 30 horses and ponies.
As a BHS Approved Riding School, we are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, horse welfare, and tuition. We undergo regular inspections to ensure we meet these standards and are also insured for public liability. Rest assured that we comply with the latest health and safety legislation.
Our instructors receive regular training and either hold BHS qualifications or are actively working towards them. We also have an apprenticeship scheme in place, allowing students to gain valuable experience while working towards a full NVQ certificate in Horse Care. For those interested in pursuing a career as instructors, we offer PTT training.
We understand the importance of convenience, which is why our opening hours are designed to accommodate busy schedules. We are closed on Mondays but open from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Saturdays, we operate from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and on Sundays, we are open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.
