Gears and Beers Cycling Club is excited to announce the Wiradjuri Welcome, a local event happening in Wagga Wagga on Saturday, 5th October 2024. Cyclists looking for a challenging ride with stunning scenery should mark their calendars for this one.
The course for the Wiradjuri Welcome will test riders with steep hills, varying surfaces, and plenty of beautiful river views along the way. Expect a mix of bike paths, tunnels, roads, and gravel to keep things interesting. Don't be surprised if you encounter a tough incline that might require a quick dismount – this ride is for those with some experience under their belts.
Intermediate-level riders are welcome to join in on the fun, and both mountain bikes and gravel bikes are suitable for the course. Just make sure you're comfortable changing a tire if needed, as participants are expected to be self-sufficient. The registration fee for the Wiradjuri Welcome is $60, and things kick off at 10:30 am on the day.
